Lucille Dunman

Lucille Lee Mizell Dunman, 93, of Folkston, passed away at her residence April 15. She was a native and life long resident of Charlton County. She was the daughter of the late Jesse P. and Minnie Magnolia Dowling Mizell. She was a member of Bethel Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her sisters and Brothers-in-Law: Jessie Mizell Thomas and Henry Thomas, Lois Mizell Flewell Longacre and Bud Flewell; Brothers and Sister-in-Law: Alton “Shorty” Mizell and Mickie Mizell, and JP Mizell, Jr.

Ms. Sally was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her deepest loves were her family and home. She most cherished her time spent with her great grandchildren and the many family gatherings at the farm. Her passion and spirit for life were grounded by her faith and her unwavering strength. She will be remembered by the many who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter: Edna (Ted) Millar of Newnan, GA; 2-Grandchildren: Julie (Scott) Cooper of Alpharetta, GA, Matthew (Tarla) Millar of Fernandina Beach, FL; 3-Great Grandchildren: Maddie Millar, Tanner Millar, and Katie Cooper; and a sister: Jewell Mizell Kelly, and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Wednesday April 16 at Bethel Methodist Church from 6-8 PM. Graveside funeral services will be held April 17 at Sardis Cemetery with Rev. David Unkles and Rev. Eddie Rawl officiating. Pallbearers will be Matthew Millar, Scott Cooper, Phillip Schweizer, Jim McGurn, Don Millar, and Rick Carter.
