LORENE CARTER

Lorene C. Carter, 90 of Folkston passed way January 16, 2013 at her residence. She was born December 31, 1922 in Charlton County, Georgia to William and Effie Mae Lowther Crews. She was a lifelong resident of Charlton County and a member of Sand Hill Baptist church.
She is survived by her children: 2 Daughters: Ethelleene (Lamar) Kitchings and Marjorie (Jake) Crews; Four Sons: Buddy (Faye) Carter, Jackie Carter, Tommy (Sheila) Carter, Timmy (Vicki) Carter; Two Sisters: Pearl Batton and Mildred Johnson; ; Fourteen Grandchildren; Twenty-two Great-grandchildren and one great-great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Alton John Baptist Carter; Daughter: Althea Starling; Grandson: Ben Kitchings; Granddaughters: Annsley Carter and Natasha Pressel.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 18, 2013 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Sand Hill Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ion Johns officiating. Burial will follow in Racepond Cemetery.
