Lonnie Marvin Snowden

Mr. Marvin Snowden, 85, of Folkston, GA passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025 in Brunswick, GA. He was born January 10, 1940 in Folkston to the late Frank Snowden and Kathleen Nettles Snowden. He retired after 37 years in 2003 as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Brent Lambert, a sister: Shirley Snowden and 5-brothers: Ernest, Charlton, Dean, Earl and Dennis.

He is survived by his wife of 48 ½ years: June Snowden; 4-children: Cindy Griner, Andrea Kling, Melanie King and Scott (Brenda) Lambert; a sister: Annie Lee Snowden; 12-grandchildren and 24-great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 2 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 3 at 11:00 AM at the Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home Chapel with Spike Albriitton officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
