Lonnie O'Quinn

June 23, 1925 — August 25, 2009

George O'Quinn, 84, of Folkston, passed away Tuesday August 25 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was born in Folkston to the late Lester and Maggie Dowling O'Quinn. He was a Bus Driver for the Charlton County School System for 27 Years. He was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church. He served his country in the US Navy for 8 years and was a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife: Linda O'Quinn; 2-Daughters: Nancy Chapple and Linda Beth O'Quinn; 6-Grandchildren: Kendra (Jamey) Lloyd, Bradley Chapple, Acacia O'Quinn (Scott Cocking), Curry O'Quinn, Erin O'Quinn (Neil Chai), and Kevin o'Quinn; 4-Great Grandchildren: Kenzie Lloyd, Kallie Lloyd, Skyler Chai, and Christopher Keith Chapple; a Brother: Raymond Talmadge (Mary) O'Quinn; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Friday August 28 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, GA from 5-7 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 29 at 11:00 AM at the Folkston United Methodist Church with Rev. Eddie Rawl and Rev. Alice Chancey officiating. Burial will be in Trader's Hill Cemetery.
