Lonnie Baldwin, Sr
April 6, 1929 — December 17, 2007
Lonnie Edwin(Pete) Baldwin, Sr., 78 of Ware County, passed away Monday, December 17, 2007 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia after an extended illness.
A lifelong resident of Ware County, Mr. Baldwin was born April 6, 1929 to Levy Baldwin and Agnes Beatrice Yarborough Baldwin and had been employed with Seaboard Coastline Railroad for 10 years, later retiring as a Commercial Painter.
Survivors include his children: Louise Baldwin, Diann Bowers, Rev. Lonnie Baldwin, Christine Reisinger and Joyce Boggs; 17 Grandchildren, 19 Great-grandchildren; Brothers: Billy Baldwin, Harold Baldwin, Marion Baldwin, Mose Baldwin; Sister: Polly Carr; Several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Wanda Fay Baldwin,two brothers: Elmer and Clarence Baldwin, and a sister, Carolyn Arnold.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Shepard Funeral Home with the Rev.'s Marlene Harris and Lisa King officiating. Interment will follow in Kettle Creek Cemetery, Waycross, Georgia.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 19, 2007 from 6 until 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
