Lois Guinn

Lois Evelyn Walker Guinn, 89 0f Folkston passed away April 5, 2011. She was born December 11, 1921 in Sylvester, Georgia to John Preston and Vennie Zell downs Walker. She had been a resident of Charlton County since 1942. She was a loving, dedicated Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She was an excellent cook and also loved plants and flowers. Mrs. Lois was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her husband: Rev. Harold Guinn of Folkston; Three Sons: Harold Gary Guinn, Sr. (Peggy) of Waycross; Ronald Lee Guinn, Sr. (Iris) of Florida; Larry Alton Guinn, Sr. (Cleone) of Cornelia, Georgia; Two Daughters: Bonnie Yvonne Guinn of Folkston; Glenda Faye Guinn of Blackshear, Georgia; 16 Grandchildren; 28 Great-grandchildren; 1 Great-great-grandchild and many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers: Larry Guinn, Jr., Ronald Guinn, Jr., Timothy Varnes, Brian Varnes, Kenneth Davis and Daniel Davis.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 06, 2011 at the funeral home from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Shepard Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Huling officiating. Burial will follow in Homeland Cemetery.
