Lois Bryant

August 13, 1922 — August 15, 2013

Lois Hazel Chesser Bryant, 91 of Folkston passed away August 15, 2013 at her residence. She was born on Billy’s Island to Harry and Neetie Rider Chesser on August 13, 1922.  A lifelong resident of Charlton County, she enjoyed cooking and being a homemaker. She was a member of Trader’s Hill Methodist Chapel.

Survivors include: one daughter: Diane Harris (Tommy) of Jacksonville, Florida; two sons: James Bryant (Linda) of Folkston and Tommy Bryant (Patricia) of Folkston; Seven grandchildren: Kim Guthrie, Erica Thomas, Robert Bryant, Christina Harris, Carrie Bryant, Eric Bryant and Zeke Bryant; six great-grandchildren; one sister: Pearl Altman of Folkston; and one brother: Gene Chesser(Eloise) of Folkston; a host of Nieces, Nephews and other relatives.  She was preceded in death by her husband: James I. Bryant.

The family will receive friends Sunday, August 18, 2013 in the Chapel of Shepard Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM with Funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM with Rev. Eddie Rawl officiating. Burial will follow in Traders Hill Cemetery.
