Euna Linda Tabor O’Quinn, 98, of Folkston, GA passed away July 2, 2019 in Folkston. She was born in Muldrow, Oklahoma to the late James Tabor and Nancy Arizona Bias Tabor on June 26, 1921. She was a homemaker and a member of Prospect United Methodist Church.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: George O’Quinn, a daughter: Linda Beth O’Quinn and her siblings.
She is survived by her daughter: Nancy Chapple; grandchildren: Kendra (Jamey) Lloyd, Bradley (Steph) Chapple, Acacia O’Quinn, Curry O’Quinn, Erin O’Quinn and Kevin O’Quinn; great grandchildren: Chris Chapple, Kenzie Lloyd, Kallista (Kallie) Lloyd, Skylar Chai, Vance Cocking and a brother-in-law: Raymond Talmadge O’Quinn.
Most recently a homemaker, Linda was a hard worker her whole life and retired when she move to Georgia in 1978. Formerly she was a licensed beautician who continued to cut hair for family and friends for many years. She loved to cook and was known for her amazing strawberry cakes, lasagna and cucumber sandwiches. She loved to tell stories about John Dillinger and Pretty Boy Floyd. Linda had a green thumb for many things especially her beautiful African Violets. She loved to read novels and true crime books when she wasn’t busy quilting or sewing. She enjoyed putting up and canning vegetables that she and George had grown throughout the year. Some of her favorite shows were Bonanza, The Waltons, Dr. Quinn, Little House, and Alaskan Bush People. She was a proud supporter of the Jacksonville Jaguars and could often be seen sporting a jersey on football Sunday. Fond memories her grandkids and great grandkids can share include learning how to cook, picking out books to read together, as well as playing Bingo and Chinese Checkers. Linda was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, aunt, sister and was loved by all who knew her for her giving nature, wit and spunk.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 20 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home at 10:00 AM. The family will receive friends at 9:00 am at the funeral home the day of the service. Burial will follow in Traders Hill Cemetery.
