Linda Nelson

Linda Gail Nelson, 71, of Folkston, GA passed away Tuesday, August 31 in St. Marys, Georgia.  She was born November 14, 1949 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Cecil Ray Rigdon and Dorothy Oweda Bell Hammontree Rigdon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter:  Amy Latrelle Sikes Hutchings.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years:  William Michael Nelson; her children:  Wendy Sikes, Laura Gail Nelson, Brian (Chanda) Nelson, Dwayne (Kristy) Nelson and Mellisa (Matthew) McAllister; her brother:  Ronald Rigdon (Joe McRanie); 12-grandchildren and 4-great grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 4:00 PM at South Prong Cemetery near Sanderson, Florida.

Due to Covid-19, the family would like to ask all attendees to please follow the rules of social distancing and face masks are recommended at the service.  Also, anyone that does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
