Lillian Jean Murray Taylor, 73, of Folkston, GA, passed away March 13 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center. She was born in Folkston, GA to the late Jasper Claude Murray, Sr. and Estelle Bennett Murray. She retired from the Charlton County School System. She was a member of Homeland United Methodist Church and attended Philadelphia Free Will Baptist Church.
He is survived by her husband: Homer Morris Taylor; 2-Daughters: Debbie (Darrell) Thaw and Tina (Pete) Owens; 4-Grandsons: Jay (Holly) Thaw, Taylor Thaw, Josh Owens, and Will Owens; 2-Sisters: Jimmy (Chester) Thrift and Theresa (Wayne) Lee; 3-Brothers: Claude (Jean) Murray, Jr., Roni (Sue) Murray, and Russell (Zada) Murray, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother: Dickie Murray and a Sister: Claudette Louise Murray.
The family will receive friends Monday March 19 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, GA from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 20 at Philadelphia Free Will Baptist Church at 10:00 AM with Rev. Parnell Aldridge officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
