LILLIAN CHESSER

Lillian Walker Johnson Chesser, 85, of St. George, GA passed away at her home Saturday, January 9, 2021.  She was born February 9, 1935 in St. George to the late Wilbert F. Johnson and Amanda J. Johnson.  She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in St. George.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son:  James Chesser, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years:  James W. Chesser, Sr.; her children:  Darleen Crane, Kathy Dove and Gary (Angela) Chesser; her sisters:  Viva Jean Outterson and Norma King; a daughter-in-law:  Debbie Collins; 10-grandchildren; 13-great grandchildren and 2-great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 12 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of St. George with Rev. Larry Finley officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery.

Due to the COVID-19, the family would like to ask all to please follow the rules of social distancing and face mask are recommended at the service.   Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
