Leona Mock McMillan, 86, of Folkston, passed away Sunday, March 20 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born in Appling County, Georgia to the late Bernice and Minnie Lou Rentz Mock. She was member of Philadelphia Free Will Baptist Church where she was the founder of the Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughters: Eloise Chesser, Linda Roddenberry, and Penny Manning; 2-Sons: Amos and Larry McMillan; 2-Sisters: Nell Mock Miller and Sarah Lee Mock Broward; 3-Brothers: Herman Mock, Joseph F. Mock, Ezar Mock; 11-Grandchildren and 14-Great Grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Rev. Clarence McMillan; 3-Sisters: Pearlie Mae Burney, Ann Mock and Vera Lou Mock and 2-Brothers: Clinton “Junior” Mock and Bernice “Buddy” Mock.
The family will receive friends Tuesday March 22 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 23 at 1:00 PM at Philadelphia Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Parnell Aldridge and Rev. David Amburgey officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
