Leon Williams

Leon Williams, 62, of Folkston, GA passed away at Memorial Health in Savannah, GA on Monday, August 28, 2023. He was born in Jesup, GA on October 7, 1960 to the late Willie Williams and Carrie Mitchell Williams. He was known to some as “Chip.” He attended the public school system in Charlton County. After being discharged from the Army, he stayed in Dallas, Texas and Indianapolis, Indiana where he was a truck driver. His favorite games were dominoes, chess and basketball.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a nephew; Joe Lewis Williams.

He is survived by his 3-children; LaTonya Davis, Carrie McDonald, and Leon Javonte Williams, 6-siblings; Wilhemina Hagins, Carrie Lee (Peter) Duncans, Martha (Willie) Green, Willie James Williams, Walter Lee Williams, and Shirley Ann (Michael) Williams, 6-nephews; Edmond Jackson, Joe Louis Hagins, Walter Lee Williams, Jr., Christopher Williams, Malik Jamar (Raynecia) Brown, and Demarcus N. Williams, a niece; Tyesha Williams, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. Memorialization will be by cremation.
