LEON DAVIS

Leon Eugene “Gene” Davis, 76, of Folkston, Georgia passed away May 3, 2013 in Hospice of the Golden Isles. He was born in Charlton County to the late Samuel Jackson Davis, Sr. and Helen Louise McDonald Davis.  He retired as a Security Guard with Union Camp.  He was a member Buford Grove Baptist Church in Hilliard, Florida.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years:  Mary Carter Davis; 2-Children:  Terry McClellan and Robin Davis; a Sister:  Virginia (W.H.) Hodges and a number of Nieces, Nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive Sunday May 5 at Shepard Funeral Home from 4-6 PM.  Funeral services will be held Monday May 6 at 11:00 AM at Buford Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Harrington officiating.  Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
