Leo Vanzant

Leo Gerald Vanzant, 74 of Hilliard passed away January 26, 2013 at Life Care Center of Hilliard. He was born in Hilliard on April 3, 1938 to William Bernard and Maude Evelina Marr Vanzant. He was a lifelong resident and a member of Buford Grove Baptist Church. Gerald was an avid pet lover and adored his dogs, Boomer and Annie.
Survivors include: His children: Mark Vanzant (Tammy),Mike Vanzant(Jeri), Gayle Farris(Jack), Nancy Guynn(Randy); Grandchildren: Bo Moody, Michael Farris, Casey Hadden, Mark Brown, Tiffany Gardner, Erika Vanzant, Kinsey Vanzant, Jessie Vanzant, Jay Farris, Meghan Farris, Bree Guynn; Seven Great-grandchildren; Brother: Eddie Vanzant(Sue) and a Sister: June Geiger(Fred), all of Hilliard: Several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Cordelle Vanzant and Johnny Vanzant.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 28, 2013 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Buford Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Harrington officiating. Burial will follow in Mill Creek Cemetery.
