Laverne Broward Rowe, Jr., 74, of Hilliard, FL passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023. He was born in Bryceville, FL on July 6, 1949 to the late Laverne Broward Rowe, Sr. and Nulfay Dejaun Barber Rowe. He graduated from Callahan High School in 1968. He served in the United States Air Force for four years. He was employed by Western & Southern Life Insurance Co. and as an independent truck driver known as “Running Bear.”
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother; Peter J. Rowe.
He is survived by 2-sisters; Wanda Rowe Lane from Ellabell, GA and Doris Rowe Crews from Bryceville, FL, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. A service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Conner-Green Cemetery in Hilliard, FL.
