Larry "Bubba" David Rhoden, Jr.

Larry “Bubba” David Rhoden, Jr., 48, of Hilliard, FL passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023 at his home following a lengthy illness.  He was born December 13, 1974 in Jacksonville, FL.  He graduated in 1992 from Baldwin Jr/Sr High School.  He attended Florida Gateway Community College Police Academy.  He was employed with CSX Transportation Railroad for almost 10 years.  He loved spending time with his family and friends, grilling, the outdoors, hunting, fishing and coaching baseball.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents:  Floyd Rhoden and Ben & Betty Padgett; 4-uncles:  Charlie Rhoden, Ray Stafford, Gary Green and Roy Stevens; aunt:  Donna Stafford and 3-cousins:  Tabitha Taylor, Renae Rhoden and Kaylor Padgett.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years:  Jessica N. Rhoden; 5-children:  Travis (Korie) Neal, Caleb (Josie) Rhoden, Colby Rhoden, Celton Rhoden and Chloe Rhoden; grandchildren:  Austin Neal, Brantley Rhoden, Tuff Neal and June Neal; his parents:  Larry, Sr. & Polly Rhoden; a brother:  Darrick Rhoden; a sister:  Miranda (Josh) Gardner; his grandmother:  Elsie “Ro Ro” Rhoden and a number of other relatives.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 8 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 9 at 11:00 AM at the Folkston Church of God with Sister Helen Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in Manning Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL.
