Kenneth Lamar Tanner, 46 of Woodbine, Georgia passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2007, after a sudden illness.
Born to Jacqueline Ruby Register and Kenneth Edie Tanner on November 28, 1960 in Folkston, Georgia. He had been a resident of Camden County for the past 7 years. He was a Fifth Degree Black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Lamar was employed for Eighteen years at Bosch(V.T. Griffin) at Kings Bay. He was a Member of the Sports Car Club of America.
Survivors include: Wife: Nancy Lynn Johnson Tanner of Woodbine; Mother Jacqueline Register;
Children: Chad, Jessica (Alex), James, Ethan and Eric; Brothers and Sisters: Lori (Kelly) Clemons, Cindy (Russ) Winters, Stevie Griner, Chuck Griner, Ken Tanner and Kendi Tanner; Nieces and Nephews: Elise, Krystal, Kellen, Brittney, Kebra, Jacob, Ariel, Hannah, Jackson and Greyson; Mother and Father-in-law, Danny and Janet Johnson; Sisters and Brothers-in-law: Cindy and Chuck Mitchell, and Debbie and Scotty Hicks. He was preceded in death by his father; Kenneth Tanner.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 10, 2007 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Shepard Funeral Home with interment to follow in Conner Green Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chad & Ethan Tanner, James Pillar Eric Westmoreland Kellen Clemons, Jacob Mitchell, Earl Moses and Bobby Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Parrish, Anthony Lambert, Gary Allen, Richard Rolling Evan Wiseman, Garrett Golden, Ricky Anderson, Richard Shelly, and Earl Wise.
