Juliette Brown McCoy

Juliette Brown McCoy, 86, of Folkston, GA passed away Friday, December 20, 2024 at her residence. She was born July 3, 1938 in Folkston, GA to the late James Holland Brown and Georgia Littlefield Brown. She retired as a bookkeeper in accounting, having worked with Union Camp Corporation and Gilman Paper Company. Juliette loved her family, friends, and pets. Blessed with remarkable memory and wonderful story-telling ability, she enjoyed sharing stories about the family and history of Folkston and Charlton County. Juliette was a member of Folkston Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother James Holland Brown, Jr. and her sister Mallette Brown Clark.

She is survived by her daughter Tara (Michael) Jones of Nashville, GA and her son Warren (fiancé Tina Turner) McCoy of Folkston; her six grandchildren: Courtney (James) Howell of Fayetteville, GA, Collin (Kara) Jones of Valdosta, Robert (Kimberly) McCoy of Waycross, Wesley McCoy of Folkston, Kristin (Gabrielle) McCoy of Folkston, Cameron (Sarah) Jones of Nashville, GA; her seven great-grandchildren: Lottie and Quinn Howell, Maggie Kate, Ella, and Addison McCoy, Mia Jones, Candler Jones, and Ellison McCoy.

A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 28 at Pineview Cemetery with the Rev. James (Jack) Varnell officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.

To honor Juliette’s love of animals and reading, the family suggests donations to the Humane Society or your local library in lieu of flowers.
