Julia Faye Thomas Herrington, 88, of Hilliard, FL passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born in Blackshear, GA October 6, 1932 to the late Ephraim Thomas and Susie Crawford Thomas. She owned her own bookkeeping and tax business for nearly 38 years and then was employed with Franklin Tire until her health forced her retirement. She was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 35 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: James Bryan Herrington and a sister: Virginia Dubberly.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Bryan and Judy Herrington of Port St. Lucie, FL, Stanley and Jo Ann Herrington of Hilliard, FL and Phyllis and Eric Helms of Hilliard, FL; a sister and brother-in-law: Sandra and Sam Thompson; 6-grandchildren and 17-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 26 at Ephesus Baptist Church at 1:00 PM with Rev. Marvin Lee and Rev. Bryan Herrington officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Due to Covid-19, the family would like to ask all attendees to please follow the rules of social distancing and face masks are recommended at the service. Also, anyone that does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
