Julia Cox

Julia Lynn Simmons, Cox, 61, of Hilliard, FL passed away at her home September 26, 2020.  She was born July 2, 1959 in Jacksonville, FL.

She was preceded in death by her father:  Edwin L. Simmons.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years:  Lonnie Ray Cox, Jr.; 2-daughters:  Karina Dawn (Wesley) Crews and Victoria Rose (Matthew) Batten; grandchildren:  Jada Marie Crews, Zachary Scott Crews, Tayla Leanne Crews, Mary Elizabeth Batten and Brooklyn Rose Batten; mother:  Betty Melba Barnard Simmons; a brother:  David Wayne (Karen) Simmons and a sister:  Deborah Ann (Wayne) Sheffield and a number of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 3 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home at 3:00 PM.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorialization will be by cremation.

Due to the COVID-19, the family would like to ask all to please follow the rules of social distancing and face mask are recommended at the service.   Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
