Judy Ann Jowers Stapleton, of Charlton County, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023. She was born on July 8, 1953 in Atkinson County, Axson, Georgia to the late Arthur “Art” and Nettie Lue Wilds Jowers. She is a descendant of Maximilliam Wilds/Wildes Family who was massacred in 1832 by the last Seminoles Indians passing through the Okefenokee Swamp, Waycross, Georgia.
She will be welcomed by her parents; Art & Nettie Jowers, two sisters; Susie Latrelle Jowers Taylor and Shirley Faye Jowers Rowell, one bubba; Gene Jowers, and one brother-in-law; Hilton Rowell.
She is survived by a dear sister-in-law; Nina Jowers of Jacksonville, Florida, two nieces; Nell Thompson of Callahan, Florida and Cynthia Jowers of Jacksonville, Florida, two nephews; James Rowell of Callahan, Florida and Scott (Amy) Jowers of Jacksonville, Florida, five great-nieces; Amanda (Brian) Tison of Juliette, Georgia, Leah (Jason) Schramm of Colorado, Cheyanne (LJ) Spruill of Bryceville, Florida, and Brianna and Emily of Jacksonville, Florida, two great-nephews; Cole (LeAnn) Rowell of Jacksonville, Florida, and Nicholas Jowers of Jacksonville, Florida, one grandson; Adam Levi Smith, son of my best friends; Tony and Michelle Smith of Nicholls, Georgia.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30AM on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Jowers Chapel Cemetery. Memorialization will be by cremation.
