Judson Todd Fulmer,80, of Hilliard, Florida, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2009. He was born in Vidalia, Georgia to the late Judson Fulmer and Shelley Todd Fulmer DeBusk. He was raised in Orlando, Florida and attended Orlando High School where he ran on the Track and Field Team. He was a graduate of the University of Florida where he also was a member of the Track and Field Team and an ATO Fraternity Brother. Mr. Fulmer was a Lieutenant in the United States Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. He worked with the Florida Fish and Game Commission and the Soil and Water Conservation Department. He retired in 1988 after 25 years of service as a County Agriculture Extension Agent and Director for Liberty, Suwanee and Nassau Counties. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hilliard. Judson had an absolute love for hunting and the great outdoors. He also enjoyed being a University of Florida Football fan. Mr. Fulmer cherished his time spent with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Dorine Prevatt Fulmer; 2-Children: Dawn (Mike) Fulmer Dean, and Dixie (Mark) Fulmer Manning; 3-Grandchildren: Kailyn O'Shaughnessy, Bradley Manning, and Brendan Manning; 2-Step-Grandchildren: Micah Dean and Fielding Dean; a Brother: Richard Stephen (Sue) Fulmer; 6-Great Grandchildren; and a number of Nieces and Nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, December 21 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, Georgia from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 22 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Hilliard with Rev. Bobby Richardson and Rev. Wayne Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at 4:00 PM at Dedan Cemetery in Brooker, Florida.
Mr. Fulmer was an avid believer in gun rights. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the NRA, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, Virginia 22030.
