Judith Annell Barber Merritt

Judith Annell Barber Merritt, 76, of Hilliard, FL passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022. She was born in Jacksonville, FL on December 23, 1945 to the late Carl Barber and Mamie Hickox Barber. Judith was the last living child of Carl and Mamie. She was a member of Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Nahunta, GA.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 3 daughters; Dana Merritt, Jana Stoner and Lana Tanner, and a granddaughter; Whitney Lee Merritt.

She is survived by her loving husband of almost 59 years; James Merritt, Sr., 5 children; James (Sherry) Merritt, Jr., Gina (Neil) Bolen, Donna Dale, Marlena (Randy) Michael, and Jonathan Merritt, 28 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Friday, November 11, 2022 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Sardis Cemetery with Preacher Daniel Dowry officiating.
