Joyce Sydney Allen, 88 of Folkston passed away Monday, June 2, 2008 at Sunbridge Care and Rehab of Folkston. She was born to Lemuel B. and Stella Bryant on December 8, 1919 at Trader's Hill, and was a lifelong resident of Charlton County, Georgia. She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Iver Novada Allen, daughters: Patsy Kennerly and Cherry Blair and one granddaughter: Dixie Holden
She is survived by Two daughters: Phyllis (Frank) Holden and Carol Allen; One son: Buzz (Connie) Allen; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, several other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Grandsons.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 4 at 3:00 PM at Shepard Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 4:00 PM,with Rev. Alice Chancey officiating. Burial will follow in Trader's Hill Cemetery.
