Josephine Crews

Josephine Crews, 83, of Folkston, passed away August 19. She was a native and life-long resident of Charlton County. Her parents were the late William and Effie Lowther Crews. She was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas H. Crews; a son: Willis Crews; a sister: Janie Carter; 3-Brothers: Nathan Crews, Owen Crews, and Oscar Crews.

She is survived by 5-Daughters: Wanda (John) Osborne of Cedar Park, TX, Phyllis (Bobby) Sarine of Summerville, SC, Hattie Mae (Bill) Flemings of Perry, GA, Norma Jean Rodriguez of Killeen, TX, and Nancy Carter of Folkston, GA; 3-Sons: Warren (Kathy) Crews of Nahunta, GA, William (Doris) Crews, of Winokur, GA, and David Crews of Folkston, GA; 3-Sisters: Mildred Johnson, Lorene Carter, and Pearl Batton all of Folkston, GA; 24-Grandchildren; and 16-Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday August 22 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston from 6-9 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 23 at 11:00 AM at Sand Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Jack Stolte, Rev. Ion Johns, and Rev. Ralph Crews officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
