Joseph Edward Higginbotham, “Ed,” was born on December 30, 1937. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida and relocated to Callahan, Florida. He served in the US Army, in 1956 he was stationed in Japan for 2 years. He married the love of his life, Kathryn Chaney Higginbotham, on May 6, 1960. He retired from the BP Corporation in 1997. In his free time, Ed loved to spend time with his family, watching Old Western TV shows and going to the movies.
Mr. Higginbotham is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Heather Higginbotham Jordan.
Mr. Higginbotham is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, his kids: Kenny (Pam) Higginbotham and Lamar (Cindy) Higginbotham of Lake Butler, FL; grandchildren: Justin (Lindsey) Higginbotham, Dustin Higginbotham, Jonathan (Heather) Higginbotham, Lane Ross, Hanna Higginbotham (Trevor Adams); 8-Great-Grandchildren; and his brother and sister: Tom Higginbotham and Peggy Higginbotham.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Burnt Fort Cemetery with Rev. Jeul Strickland officiating.
