Johnnie Martin

Johnnie Martin, 78, of Hilliard, FL passed away March 1, 2018 at his residence following a lengthy illness.  He was born July 28, 1939 in Griffin, GA to the late Boyd Watson Martin and Mary Emma Willoughby Martin.  He was a veteran of the Army National Guard.  Mr. Martin was a member of the First Baptist Church of Boulougne.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers:  Doug Martin and Dick Martin and sisters:  Mary Dorrough and Carolyn Culverson.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years:  Jeannie W. Martin; 2-Children:  Jonathan Eric (Kim) Martin and Jennifer Elizabeth Martin Pensa; 7-Grandchildren:  Heather (Jeffery) Johnson, Kristin (Matt) Sauls, Aerial Pensa, Brianna (Tyler) Holliman, Brooke (Ross) Hobbs, Heather (Warren) Vining and Jenna Pensa; 1-Sister:  Jeannie (Roger) Culverson; 1-Brother:  Joseph Martin; 8-Great Grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other realtives.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 7 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home in Folkston, GA from 6-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 8 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Lucas officiating.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
