John Franklin Williams, 78, passed away August 11, 2021 in Fernandina Beach, FL. He was born February 26, 1943 in Glenmore, LA to the late Calvin Dell Williams and Oree Roddenberry Williams. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. He valued hardword and loved working tirelessly making his yard a show piece. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and a frustrated golfer. He was a former member of the Folkston United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Marlene Camper.
He is survived by his wife: LaVonne Williams; a son and daughter-in-law: Mike and Jessica Williams; 2-grandchildren: Ella Caroline Williams and Jackson McCrae Williams; 2-brothers: Jack Williams and Ted Williams; a sister: Ruby Aleva and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 14 at 10:00 AM at the Folkston United Methodist Church with Pastor Robbie Paulk officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery.
Due to Covid-19, the family would like to ask all attendees to please follow the rules of social distancing and face masks are recommended at the service. Also, anyone that does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
