John Benjamin “Johnny” Rogers, 46, of Folkston, passed away at his residence February 13,2010. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and lived most of his life in Kingsport, Tennessee before moving to Charlton County. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church in St. George, Georgia.
He is survived by his parents: Joseph Ray and Betty Jean Tipton Rogers; 2-Sisters: Betsy (Marty) Crews of Folkston, GA and Lisa (Cecil) Hodges of Hilliard, Florida; 3-Nephews, 4-Nieces, 4-Great Nieces and 2-Great Nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother: Bobby Rogers.
The family will receive friends Monday February 15 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston from 6-8 PM Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 16 at 2:00 PM at the Shepard Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Reggie Herrin officiating. Burial will be in St. George Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, Georgia.
