John Hollis Nugent, 65 of Kingsland, Georgia passed away in Jacksonville, Florida on June 19, 2010.
He was born in Colmesneil, TX on May 12, 1945 to Jesse Nelson and Madelyn Elizabeth Creel Nugent. He served and retired from the United States Navy SEABEE. He received an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. He was a member of the NRA, Sons of Confederate Veterans, and a member of Browntown Baptist Church.
Survivors include his Wife: Delores Juanita Perry Nugent of Kingsland, Ga.; Daughters Tina Nugent and LeAnna Hickman (Mike); One Son: Thomas Nugent(Donna) Grandchildren: Kari and Kelly Riley, Christopher and Walker Lehman, Cody and Emily Rhoton; Three Brothers: Junior Nugent, Jim Nugent and Earl Nugent; Several Nieces, Nephews and other family Members. He was preceded in death by two Daughters: Janet Nugent and Tracy Nugent; one sister: Lola Malina; One Brother: Sherman Nugent.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 4:00 PM at Browntown Baptist Church. The family request those wishing make memorial contributions to Browntown Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society. Funeral Services will begin at 5:00 PM with Rev. Ernie Bailey officiating. Burial will be Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Colmesneil Cemetery in Colmesneil, Texas at 10:00 AM.
