Joe Lewis Williams,40 of Folkston, affectionately known as “Joe Joe” and “Tall Dogg” departed his earthly home on Monday, May 28, 2012.
Mr. Williams was born March 28, 1972 in Folkston, Georgia to Carrie Lee Williams and Eddie Charles Blocker. He attended Timoquana Elementary School in Jacksonville, Florida and the public school system in Charlton County. He later moved to Duval County, Florida and back to Charlton County, Georgia.
He was loved by everyone who came in contact with him. He was known for listening to music, writing and throwing the deuces sign up “saying see you later”.
Joe Joe is preceded in death by his grandfather Mr. Willie Williams and grandmother (Mama) Carrie Mitchell Williams, who helped raise him.
He leaves to cherish his life and memories, his loving mother: Carrie Lee Williams Duncan; Aunts: Wilhelmina Hagin, Shirley Williams (Michael Brown), Martha Greene(Billie Greene); Uncles: Walter Williams, Willie Williams and Leon Williams(Wanda Williams); Special Cousin: Lashawn Jordan; and a host of sorrowing family and friends who will miss him dearly.
A Memorial service honoring his life will be Friday, June 1, 2012 from 4 until 6 PM in the Chapel of Shepard Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed by signing the guest register at www.shepardfh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Shepard Funeral Home, Folkston, Georgia.
