JoAnn Brooks

JoAnn Harvey Brooks, 62, of St. George, GA passed away at her residence August 24, 2021.  She was born December 27 in St. George to the late Williard Harvey and Irene Crews Harvey.  She worked for the Charlton County School System as a Paraprofessional and a Bus Driver and also for the Charlton County Sheriff’s Office as a Corrections Officer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Malcolm Logan Brooks; a sister:  Merlyn Yarbrough and a brother:  W.L. Harvey.

She is survived by her daughter:  Arlene Brooks; a granddaughter:  Mika Stamps; a grandson:  Ernest Duane Stamps Jr.; 2-brothers:  Phillip Harvey and Melvin (Kathy) Harvey and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 27 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home in Folkston, GA from 6-8 PM.  Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, August 28 at 2:00 PM in Boones Creek Cemetery with Rev. James Conner officiating.

Due to Covid-19, the family would like to ask all attendees to please follow the rules of social distancing and face masks are recommended at the service.  Also, anyone that does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
