Jewell Mizell Kelly, 98 of Folkston passed away at her home Tuesday morning, February 29, 2012.
Born in Charlton County, she was one of six children born to the late Jesse P. and Minnie Dowling Mizell. Jewell worked and lived many years in Jacksonville for Knight Paper Company as a Payroll Clerk. She was preceded in death by her husband: William A. Kelly. Together they enjoyed the beach, fishing and traveling, visiting all 50 states and around the world.
Survivors include a son: Virgil Kelly (Jonell) of Folkston; two grandchildren: Karen Glenn (John) of Baxley; Kim Schweizer (Phil) of Fernandina Beach, Fl.; three great-grandchildren: Joseph Glenn and Hanna Glenn of Baxley, Georgia; J.P. Schweizer of Fernandina Beach, Florida, a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 01, 2012 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM. Graveside services will be Friday, March 2, 2012 at 2:00 PM in Pineview Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Rawl officiating.
