Jewell Yvonne Johnson Dinkins

Jewell Yvonne Johnson Dinkins, 83, of Waverly, GA passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022. She was born in Hilliard, FL on December 2, 1938 to the late Billie Marie Johnson and Raiford Johnson.

Yvonne was a Christian woman who enjoyed sewing, quilting, crochet and gardening. She and her husband, Gene, were avid dancers, including square dance, jitterbug and several ballroom dances.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter; Julia Marie Dinkins and her brother; Ronnie Johnson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years; Robert “Gene” Dinkins, Sr., 3 children; Robert Dinkins, Jr., Victoria Lynn (Pete) Peterson, and Jacqueline (Jeff) Garrison, 6 grandchildren; Julia Browning, Hillary Kelly, Tyler Garrison, Sean McManus, Taylor Garrison and Tanner Garrison, 9 great-grandchildren and a sister; Paulette Johnson Kilgore.

A service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home with Bro. Randall Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Homeland Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
