Jessie Edward Turner, Jr.,68, of Folkston, passed away March 26, 2008 at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born September 16, 1939 in Jeff Davis County to Jessie Edward Turner, Sr. and Odell Fannie Johnson Turner . A lifelong resident of Charlton and was a member of Trader's Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one son: Steven Andrew Turner of Folkston; two Brothers: Lott Turner of Folkston; Charlie Turner of St. George,; Three sisters: Barbara Ann Todd of Folkston; Bonnie Lynn Crews of Waynesville; Brenda Loretta Espinueva of Gainesville, Florida; 5 Grandchildren; 1 Great-grand child; Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by a sister: Betty Ruth Crews.
The family will receive friends, Friday, March 28,2008 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM and request those wishing to make memorial contributions to Trader's Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Rt. 2 Box 1925, Folkston, Georgia 31537.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Trader's Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Lemley officiating. Burial will follow in Trader's Hill Cemetery.
