Jesse Hodges

Jesse Michael “Mickey” Hodges, 59, of Hilliard, FL passed away January 8, 2015.  He was born August 2, 1955 in Jacksonville to the late Jesse Junior Hodges and Gwendolyn Gladys Hinson Hodges.  He retired in 2008 from Ameristeel in Baldwin, FL after 30 years of service.  He was a member of Buford Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years:  Karen Waters Hodges; 4-children:  Wayne (Valerie) Hodges, Sunshine (Brian) Valler, Josh (Kim) Hodges and Daniel (Sheree) Hodges; 9-grandchildren:  Gabby Hodges, Casey (Sarah) Lewis, Bree Valler, Erica Lewis, Matt Valler, Amber Hodges, Leah Hodges, Laree Hodges, and Laney “Lulu” Hodges; a great grandson:  Nathan Michael Lewis; a sister:  Donna (Donald) Manning; 2-brothers:  Russell (Tracey) Hodges & Norman (Lisa) Hodges; and a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.  He was a loving Son, Brother, Daddy, Uncle, Cousin, and Best Husband Ever.  He was Pa to all and never met a stranger.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 11 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held Monday, January 12 at 2:00 PM at Boulougne First Baptist Church .  Burial will follow in Buford Grove Cemetery. The family will be meeting at Boulougne First Baptist Church at 12:30 PM for lunch and request friends and family  to join them.
