Jesse Hodges

Jesse Junior Hodges, 82, of Hilliard, passed away Monday, March 15 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born in Jacksonville to the late George Archibald Hodges and Frances Elenor Guinn Hodges. He was a member of Buford Grove Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years: Gwen Hodges and seven brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his 4-Children: Donna (Donald) Manning, Micky (Karen) Hodges, Russell Hodges, and Norman (Lisa) Hodges; 2-Sisters: Carolyn Hinson and Nita (Aldine) Tomlinson; 13-Grandchildren and 12-Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 17 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, Georgia from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 18 at Buford Grove Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Curtis Harrington and Josh Hinson officiating. Burial will be in Buford Grove Cemetery.
