Jerry Youmans

Jerry Lonnie Youmans, 66 passed away peacefully Monday, May 12, 2008 at Camden Medical Center. Born in Waycross on February 15, 1942 to Lonnie Hampton and Ina Eunice Youmans, he resided in Kingsland Georgia. He retired from Gilman Paper Company in March 1994 after 24 years of service. He was a member of Browntown Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents and also his brother Ray Youmans and father-in-law Woodrow Herndon, and his beloved black lab Duke. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Cora Dale Youmans; Daughters: Amy Corbett(David) of Kingsland, Alisa Lambert(Eddie) of Folkston; Five Grandchildren: Hunter and Colton Corbett; Ryan, Austin and Quinton Lambert. Sisters: Ann Brewster(Bobby) of Tifton, Nancy Dickson(Dickey) of Blackshear: Brother: Steve Youmans(Elaine) of Hoboken; Mother-in-law Fredda Herndon, Waycross; Sister-in-laws: Laverne Youmans, Waycross, Joy Rountree(Ronnie) of Waycross, Linda Gail Bennett(Johnny) Millwood and brother-in-law: Tommy Herndon of Waycross. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 14 from 6 until 8 PM at Shepard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 15 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Shepard Funeral Home with Rev. Christopher Johnson and Michael Carden and Dr. Alan Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Homeland Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Shepard Funeral Home, Folkston, Georgia.
