Jerry Gibson

Jerry Gibson, 59, of Folkston, GA, passed away October 13 in Waycross, Georgia. He was the son of the late Ray and Wanda Fisher Gibson. He was a member of Buford Grove Baptist Church. Because of his love for the outdoors, he was a member of Bassmasters and the NRA. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Jerry had a heart for Civil Service. He was a certified Firefighter, Police Officer, and EMT. He was awarded a Certificate in Emergency Management through GEMA and FEMA.
He is survived by his wife: Donna Gibson; 6-Children: Shannon Denise Roche, Randall Alton Nash, Shaun Michael Gibson, Staci Michelle Dasher, Samuel Edwin Dasher, III, and Jeri Lynette Wentworth; a Sister: JoDee Gibson and 12-Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 17 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, Georgia from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 18 at 2:00 PM at Buford Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Harrington officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
