Jeff Brannon

Jeff Allen Brannon, 53 of Folkston passed away March 3, 2016 from injuries sustained from an accident. He was born February 16, 1963 to John and Sara Lois Blakely Brannon in Cullman, Alabama. He served his country in the United States Navy and was employed as a Machinist with Kings Bay Support Services. Jeff had been a resident of Charlton County since 1989. He was involved with several charity motorcycle runs benefiting the VA, various children’s Homes; Troubled Teen Home and for the homeless Vets, delivering blankets. He had also taken part in the escorting of our Military, killed overseas, returning to the United States. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, St. Marys, Georgia. A gentle, caring man, he will be missed for his charitable acts of kindness by many.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years: Nannette of Folkston; son: Jeffery (Holly) Brannon of Folkston; daughter: Marcie Marie Brannon (Henry Reinel) of St. Marys, Georgia; Mother and Father: Sara and John Brannon of Addison, Alabama; Two brothers: Thomas William Brannon (Leslie) of Addison, Alabama; David Brannon of Addison, Alabama; Two Nieces: Samantha and Sara Brannon of Addison, Alabama; one Nephew: John Brannon of Addison, Alabama; Father-in-law: Noah Powell of Folkston, Georgia; Mother-in-law: Janice Griffith of Folkston, Georgia; his little riding buddy: Fancy Pants and many other relatives.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 1:00 till 2:00PM in the Chapel of Shepard Roberson Funeral Home, with funeral services beginning at 2:00PM with Rev. Mark Patterson officiating
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Nichols Funeral Home, Addison, Alabama from 1:00 till 2:00PM with funeral services beginning at 2:00PM. Burial will follow in Nesmith Church Cemetery. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Wounded Warriors Foundation, 20037 Dove Hill Rd. Culpeper, VA 22701 or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 5901 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd, Atlanta, GA 30328.
