Jeannette Prescott

Jeannette Lee Prescott, 77, of Ringgold, GA, passed away January 10 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. She was born in Brantley County, Georgia to the late Jno E. Lee and Sallie Chesser Lee. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Scottsboro, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband: James T. Prescott, Sr.; 2-Sisters: Florence Herrin and Pearly Mae Lee; and 4-Brothers: Wilbur, Ward, B.T., and Dean Lee.

She is survived by 2-Daughters: Karen (Steven) Screws of Scottsboro, AL, and Lois (Tony) Nix; a Son: James Prescott, Jr.; 2-Granddaughters: Joy (Neale) Morgan and Dixie (Daylyn) Thomas; a Grandson: Chris (Carla) Screws; a Great Grandson: Noah Morgan; 4-Sisters: Sallie Martin, Rosa Jenkins, Vernon (Sibert) Carmichael, and Sandra (Eugene) Dixon; 4-Brothers: Earl Lee, Eugene (Vernell) Lee, Marvin (Mary) Lee, and Kenneth (June) Lee; a Brother-In-Law: W.R. (Nell) Prescott; and 2-Sisters-in-Law: Irene (Andy) Brasington and Iris Thrift; 55-Nieces and Nephews and a host of other relatives.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 13 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 14 at 1:00 PM at the Shepard Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Steven Screws officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Dixon, Everett, Lamar, Marty, Ricky and Rusty Lee.

Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Corinth Cemetery Association, High Bluff Cemetery Association, Research Center for Stroke and Heart Disease or the Scottsboro First United Methodist Church.
