JAY BURCH

Jay W. Burch, 80, of Folkston, passed away June 10 at his residence following a brief illness.  He was a native and life-long resident of Charlton County.  He was born October 23, 1932 to the late John W. Burch and Allie Mae Walker Burch.  He retired from the Maintenance Department of the United States Department of the Interior.  He was of the Holiness Faith.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years:  Jessie Mae Mizell Burch; 3-Children:  Elaine Burch Nettles (Michael Lee), Jay Wayne Burch and James Edward Burch; 2-Sisters:  Allie Russell and Lois Miller;  4-Grandchildren and 4-Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 11 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, GA from 6-8 PM.  Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 12 at 2:00 PM in Sardis Cemetery.
