Janice Harris

Janice LaFaine Nettles Harris, 53 of Hilliard, Florida, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2008 at her residence.

She was born to John Carl “JC” Nettles and Rachael Inez Hickox Nettles on November 12, 1955 in Folkston, Ga.. She worked for 19 years as a Para-Professional with the Nassau County Board of Education. She was a faithful member of the Folkston Church of God. She is preceded in death by her parents and her son, James Elton Harris, II.

Survivors: Husband: James E. Harris, Sr. of Hilliard, Florida; Two Sons: Jason Dewayne Harris of Hilliard, FL and Shawn Anthony Harris of Nashville, TN. Four Grandchildren: Morgan Harris, Macey Harris, Miya Harris, and Rachel Harris: Five Step-Grandchildren: Christian Labombarbe, Kaleb Lambombarbe, Chance Lambombarbe, Ethan Cocoa and Jonas Cocoa; Two Sisters: Wanda Jean Fife (Phil)of Folkston, GA and Linda Gail Lewis of Woodbine, GA.; Four Brothers: Earl Nettles (Betty) of Hoboken, GA, Roy Nettles (Barbara Dale) of Folkston, GA, Cleveland Nettles (Joanne) of Martinville, GA., and Bo Nettles of St. George, GA. Several Nieces and Nephews.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Shepard Funeral Chapel in Folkston, GA from 6 until 9 PM. Funeral Services will be Sunday, November 23, 2008 at Folkston Church of God at 2:00 PM with Rev. Kip Boswell, Rev. Doug Cercy, and Brother Joseph Crews officiating. Burial will follow at Pigeon Creek Cemetery in Boloungne, FL. Donations may be made to Folkston Church of God.
