Jane Wells

Jane Clemmons Wells, 76, of Folkston, passed away January 11, at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born in Effingham County, Georgia to the late James W. and Ola Jones Clemmons. She was a member of Camp Pinckney Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband: Miles Franklin Wells, Jr.; and 5-Brothers: J.W. Clemmons, Marion Clemmons, Henry Lewis Clemmons, George Clemmons, and Bernie Clemmons.

She is survived by her daughter: Bonnie (Pat) Thrift and a son: Darrell (Pollie) Wells, Sr.; 4-Grandchildren: Emily Wells, Sadie Wells, Olin Thrift and Darrell “Buddy” Wells, Jr., all of Folkston, GA; a sister: Betty Picott, of Orlando, FL, and a Brother: Roy Clemmons, of Thomson, GA

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 13 at Camp Pinckney Baptist Church from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 14 at 11:00 AM at Camp Pinckney Baptist Church with Rev. Tim King officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. David Beckham officiating.
