James Theodore "Jim" Prescott, Jr.

James Theodore “Jim” Prescott, Jr., 67, of Hinesville, GA passed away at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah on Sunday, May 8, 2022. He was born in Waycross, GA on July 11, 1954 to the late James Theodore Prescott, Sr. and Jeannette Lee Prescott. James was a proud Republican. He enjoyed photography, drones and scuba diving. He was a member of the Florida Professional Photographers and a Professor of Photographers Society of North Florida.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law; Tony Nix.

He is survived by his two sisters; Karen (Steven) Screws and Lois Nix, nieces and nephews; Dixie (Daylyn) Thomas, Chris (Carla) Screws and Joy (Neale) Morgan, great-nephews; Noah Morgan and anxiously awaiting the arrival of Dayne Theodore Thomas in September, one great-niece; Hannah Kate Morgan, aunts and uncles; Sandra Dixon, Mary Lee and Kenneth Lee, Jr. and numerous cousins.

A service will be held at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 10am with Pastor Lamar Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Corinth Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
