Jack Arnold Griffin, 70, of Folkston, passed away February 7 at Shands Jacksonville following an illness. He was born January 15, 1943 in Brantley County, Georgia to the late Noah Griffin and Bera McDonald Griffin. He retired as the Mill manager for the International Paper Facility in Folkston.
He is survived by his wife: Betty Griffin; 4-children: Lona (Steve) Davis, Rhena (James) Messer, Tammy Crews and Jack Griffin, II; 2-Sisters: Joann Swords, and Hazel Thrift; 3-Brothers: Ray (Emmie) Griffin, Manning Griffin and David (Karen) Griffin; 3-Grandchildren: Hail (Justin) Coffey, Tabytha (Will) Johns, and Breanna Messer; 3-Great Grandchildren: Allie Clark, Anistyn Coffey and Ashton Johns.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 10 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 11 at 11:00 AM at Mr. Griffin’s residence at 150 Griffin Farm Road, Folkston, Georgia 31537. Burial will follow in the Kennison Family Cemetery.
