Irene Dixon

Irene Crawford Dixon, 97, of St. George, GA, passed away June 3 following a lengthy illness.  She was a life long resident of St. George.  She was born to the late George and Missouri Batten Crawford.  She was a founding member of the St. George Church of God.  She was preceded in death by her husband:  Willie Dixon; 2-Children:  Helen Dixon and Dwight Dixon and many brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children:  Evelyn Miller, Edna E. Taylor, Jerry Dixon and Kathy Harrison; 2-sisters:  Iris Hodge and Clara C. Young; a brother:  Nolan Crawford; 6-Grandchildren; 17-Great Grandchildren; 10-Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 5 at 11:30 AM at the St. George Church of God with the family receiving from 10:00 AM until services time.  Rev. Grady Albritton and Rev. Rob Gillis will officiate.  Burial will follow in Boones Creek Cemetery.
