IRENE BROCK

Irene Roddenberry Brock, 93, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, June 14, 2012. Mrs. Brock was born October 8, 1918 in Charlton County to the late Gadson and Susan Roddenberry. She was a homemaker and a gifted gardener, who loved to share with many. She was a member of Philadelphia Free Will Baptist Church in good standing and a faithful follower.
In 1937, she married Sidney Vernon Brock. They were married 64 years before his death in 2001. She is survived by her daughters: Alice (Larry) Aultman of Cordele, GA, Garie (Ken) Herndon of Deland, FL; 3-Sons: Shep (Myra) Brock, of Hilliard, FL, Mickey Brock of Folkston, GA, and Tony (Suzy) Brock of Moultrie, GA; 1-Brother: Newton “Boy” Roddenberry; 16-Grandchildren, 32-Great Grandchildren and 3-Great Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 16 at Shepard Funeral Home from 5-7 PM. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 17 at 3:00 PM at Philadelphia Free Will Baptist Church with Rev Parnell Aldridge officiating. Burial will follow in Trader’s Hill Cemetery.
