Irene Brantley

Irene McCallister Brantley, 84,loving mother and grandmother,was received in the hands of her Lord October 30, 2007. She was born in Effingham County, GA and had benn a longtime resident of Homeland, GA. She was the daughter of the late William Ben and Verna McCallister. She was a member of the Homeland Church of God of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by her husband: William Albert Brantley and a son: William Tillman Brantley.

She is survived by 5-Children: Geneva Popham of Folkston, Gilbert (Faye) Brantley of Valdosta, GA, Larry (Sandra) Brantley of Hilliard, FL, Marvin (Lynn) Brantley of Folkston, GA, and Tommy (Carisa) Brantley of Shalimar, FL; 2-Sisters: Effie Dixon of Folkston, GA and Jeannette Ogilvie of Jacksonville, FL; 16-Grandchildren: Jennifer Davis, Joann Bryant, Blane Brantley, Cheryl Strickland, Charlene Brantley, Carolyn Strickland, Bert Brantley, Dana Brantley, Lynn Sikes, Ben Brantley, Crystal Brantley, Miranda Brantley, John Brantley, Jason Brantley, Chelsea Brantley, Mike Brantley, and one grandchild on the way; 20-Great Grandchildren and 4-Great Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday October 31 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, GA from 6-9 PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday November 1 at the Homeland Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Harold Thornton and Rev. Ricky Knox officiating. Burial will be in Sardis Cemetery.
